Last night was my first real playing of Pandora, current Malkavian Oracle of Northern Virginia. I think I did a fairly good job acting like a freaked-out psychic who made the entire Elysium consider going into battle and/or running away. The best part about this is, people in character and out of character pay a lot more attention to me--basically because IC they never know what I'm going to say or do, and OOC....um, because they never know what I'm going to make the character say or do. I think.
I like this character.
Now, I just have to work up the nerve to fake a grand mal seizure in front of a bunch of people. Don't wanna offend any actual epileptics or EMT's who might say, "That's not how you do it! You suck!" Then again, I have had real seizures of my own, so yeah I do know how it's done, so nyeh.
What's really cool, though, is that word is spreading both IC and OOC that my character is a name that everyone is supposed to know. Which means that I'll have a lot of opportunities and motivation to play it to the hilt.

Now, everybody say it--"Aww...we're so proud! The Wee One is finally engaging in social interaction!"

I seem to be hosting a variety of very unwelcome infecting guests: allergies, mild sinusitis, mild upper respitory infection, and mild cramping/diarrhea. And they're eating all the nachos and making a mess of the living room and it's not like they're ganging up all at once; no, they seem to be attacking in waves, like there's some immuno-drill seargent barking out orders: "Okay, allergies are on the front line! Keep the enemy in sight! Okay, all clear for the sinus infection! Now the lungs! Cramps! Move it, move it move it!"

It's highly bothersome. Last night at game was the cramps' turn at battle. I was trying to play some really good scenes, and all I could think about was how much my tummy hurt and how annoying it was. So today I took a cocktail of: astragalus, an immuno-boosting herb, Benadryl Cold & Allergy, Benadryl Allergy & Sinus, Imodium AD, and a motion-sickness tablet (the post-nasal drip was making me nauseous). Plus, I had a triple-espresso with vanilla, milk, sugar, and chocolate shavings from Starbucks.

I believe that the only thing that's happened so far is that I am a) very awake, b) somewhat feverish, c) itchy-eyed, and that a2) My cramps are gone, b2) I'm not sneezing as much, and c2) My throat doesn't itch.

But the allergy/sinus thing has gone on for the past week, so that's the thing I'm mostly trying to beat. Hey, Udgar, how would you handle this? :)
