Advice! Help! Ow!
Sep. 23rd, 2002 10:47 amAnybody know the best way to get rid of an attack of sciatica pain without making a doctor's appointment? I know you gotta bend over backwards (get it? ha?) but I don't want to bend over backwards financially... umm... Ach, Monie, where are you when I need you?
(For those who don't know, 'sciatica' is Greek for 'pain down the back of the leg'. It is a burning, searing, sharp, annoying pain that starts at the top of your hamstring and shoots all the way down to your foot--normally it just bothers the back of the thigh though, at least in my case.)
For those who need a more colorful description: Imagine having the back of your leg being chewed on by a wolverine. Yeah. Now, multiply that times two.
Yeah.
If I don't alleviate this soon, it's going to be a lot of sleepless nights, just like 5 years ago. So please please please if anybody knows what I'm talking about, give me stretching exercises, massage tips, accupressure points, anything? Please? I don't want to be doped up on codeine again, really I don't...
Ow...
