Even when I lived in New York--both Brooklyn and the Hamptons--I never saw two feet of snow in one weekend. At least I don't mind being stranded at Billy and Charlotte's. It was a weird, intense weekend, the kind I like.
I've decided--we've decided--why we really love each other. It's because he feels like he can create a person, shape a soul from a clean slate, show me what I am and what I can be, and I'm perfectly willing to be that clean slate, that creation, because there is nothing but pure love in helping to create a new person out of that person's own ashes that the person culled themselves.
I think the best part about it was when he grabbed my hands in the midst of all that soul-searching and truth-bearing, and said with fascination, "Wow. I may marry you. What an amazing concept. I'm going to marry you one day. Wow."
Yeah. Wow.
