unexpected suck
May. 16th, 2003 12:04 pmWell, there goes the week.
Turns out Adam and Lex got called last-last minute to Baltimore for the entire week to set up a computer show which Adam said he actually doesn't know much about. (Yeah. They got the call Thursday. They left this morning at the crack of dawn.)
My boys won't be home till next Friday. *sniff* But Adam said he'd try and race back down here just for a "hug and hello." *SNIFF* *Awww*
Me, on the other hand? I have the cold to end all colds. It started as a sore, itchy, scratchy throat. Then the ookiness started. Two in the morning, I attempted to breathe, attempted to talk, then picked up the phone and left a voicemail for my boss: "Hi, I'm not coming in today; I feel like hell. See you on Monday." (Hopefully) Went back to sleep. Then it started pouring rain outside. Great.
So I'm sitting here sniffling and coughing and trying to breathe, all alone because my love will be an hour away for the next week. Yeesh. Good news is, Beth will be back Sunday night or so, so I'll have company for the week. Yet this weekend will still suck, because I'm sick and literally everyone I usually hang out with is otherwise engaged.
I would have called Billy and stayed there, but Charlotte's just getting out of the hospital after her hysterectomy. After eleven years of endometriosis, no more pain. Sure no kids ever and early menopause (she's 27), but no more pain. Love and hugs and hopes to Charlotte.
