Buffy-inspired dialogue
May. 23rd, 2003 09:18 pmGuess what? Joss Whedon just officially became a verb for me. I'm writing my novel as I surf the web, and I just ran downstairs to ask Adam and Beth about world mythology--I'm heavily referecing a huge mix of world myth and legend into the book, keeping things narrowed down to four very specific legends
that separately hail from from many different parts of the world--Phoenix, Dragon, Unicorn, and Turtle, which each play roles in hundreds of different religions and myths. When Beth asked why it mattered, I said, "I'm Joss-Whedoning this thing. It's a whole mishmash of different mythos and some made-up stuff that just sounds cool."And Beth just nodded and smiled.
I love Buffy-lingo. Long live the legacy of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I'd better be careful, or I'm gonna start referencing Vampire: The Masquerade soon too. Oy.
