Things I have found to be good:
Origins Dew Gooder Foundation. The first makeup that doesn't leave my face all flaky and makeup-looking. I can barely tell I have makeup on. Also, Origins Lasting Lipstick. Literally lasts all day and feels soft and smooth and minty.
Kokum butter. Better than shea butter. Unfortunately the pure, raw form is a solid, almost like soap, so I have to douse it in very hot water in order to scoop anything out of the container. But it's astringent, fights blemishes and fine lines, and makes my skin super-smooth.
The self-satisfaction of telling religious zealots that my pentagram is a symbol of magic when they think it's the Star of David. Not that I mind. I'm Jewish by heritage. But seeing the hesitant, puzzled looks when I carefully mention the words "magic" and "pagan" just makes my day.
Hearing the voices of dear friends over the phone, knowing that deep inside, they really are okay and they love me for caring.
Just a few things. Small things. But they make me happy.
