Mondays always end in Why
Nov. 17th, 2003 01:42 pmSeems like everyone woke up with a headache this morning--me, Adam, my boss Ray, and at least two other coworkers. And it's 60 degrees and sunny, with no wind! This makes me nervous about the upcoming snows. It's usually really nice before it gets really bad.
Spent most of the morning filling out a form for the firm's new insurance provider, MAMSI (we used to be with CareFirst). Luckily, my current doctor is listed under the Optimum Choice plan, plus I checked the option to get "alternate" care outside the HMO. Good thing if I ever need an acupuncturist.
( My good social deed for the day )
Mom sounded so happy last night. She convinced the doctors to let her recover at home with oral antibiotics and the promise to keeping walking and eating and to call in. She said she was feeling miserable at the hospital and needed her own bed. Don't blame her at all. No word just yet on Adam's grandmother, but I think she's all right.
My hands are still dry. It's driving me nuts. It's only going to get worse.
I may need to try those supplements for a while--the pills that are supposed to increase cell moisture retention from the inside. Cell Hydrating suppelements, something like that. Avon and Murad make some. I know someone who takes them--she's in her 40's and looks about thirty. Her skin glows.
Hopefully it'll help me. And I'm glad I have someone who knows what it's like; It's a little unnerving how much Emilie is like me. We really need to meet in person soon. I still never got to meet Jon.
Looks like the afternoon will be spent filing away all the periodicals that get passed out to various lawyers and sent back. It's unbelievable how much time that takes. But I don't mind; I'm just grateful I have such a great job. I never take it for granted, considering how damn long I had to search. I just wish things could work out for certain friends. The economy sucketh.
