It doesn't hurt right now. So I'm quiet. But it'll hurt later until I take care of it. Such is life.

Got to see the Watson last night, and got my presents from Ireland. Thanks, guys! I love the wishing stone. And the perfume, Inis Arose, smells like sunshine on green hills by a crystal lake.

Note to self: Learn Pilates. Beca had the right idea.

Oh, and this lip stain I'm so happy with? Hard Candy's Stain and Shine, in Stop. Yes, indeedy.

There's a makeup out there that sounds suggestive. And now they're sayning Oprah may be too racy. And they're trying so hard to really censor Americans' lives now? Good luck! *raises middle finger at FCC and government in general*

Everyone's been commenting on my new hair. One of the lawyers says it looks exactly like his sisters natural hair. Apparently she's full Irish, sunset flame hair, freckles and everything.
I like the new color okay, but it's a bit bright. It would have been darker if Adam and Danny hadn't bleached it blonde first. Yes, I was a blonde for two hours before I became a redhead. There are pictures. Adam joked that he never got a chance to bang me as a blonde.

I just had a great conversation with another lawyer. He wants the library to order a couple of copies of Strunk and White's Elements of Style. I discovered that, like me, he has always been puzzled and worried by the downward spiral grammar and writing has taken in the legal world. He wants to be able to win debates about how to improve legal writing. Heck, I would!

Nara, the Avon rep in our office, just gave me the Pilates stretch exerciser I ordered. That makes me happy.

Stupid sciatic nerve. Stop pinching! Grr. I'm currently looking for acupuncturists. Either that or I start becoming really skilled at Pilates and Yoga.

I'm reading this interesting Young Adult series called Daughters of the Moon. It's a light snack. Very easy read, but fun and cute. It's one of those things that you giggle at, but once you start reading you wanna keep reading. It's about a bunch of teenage girls with individual special powers, who are actually the mortal daughters of a moon goddess, Selene, and they have a destiny to protect the world from the ultimate evil, which the author calls the Atrox. Gah, that sounds familiar. The powers run the gamut: Invisibility, telepathy, precognition, time travel, and telekinesis. One of them is in love with one of the human disciples of the evil force. And she's destinted to follow the path of the Dark Goddess, Hecate, who is actually a force of good and guides the dead to Tartarus. The author takes a lot of cute creative liberties: Selene takes Artemis' place, Diana is a separate goddess altogether, and Hecate plays mind games. It's addictively cute. Don't worry, eventually I'll go back to reading actual literature.

What kind of bugs me, though, is that in this world, witches are considered forces of evil. Snarl. Like, the girl with precognition is talking to her grandmother, and she asks, "Am I a witch?" and the grandmother says, "No, your power is for good." I mean, c'mon, not much difference between goddess and witch, now is it? Whatever. I can't complain. At least the author isn't crying out for witch hunts or something.

Billy called and said that the kittens opened their eyes the other day. I gotta go over there. This is going to be adorable.
