Adam is healing slowly. His back and shoulders are peeling, but his skin is so sensitive that we can't use any lotion or oil to soothe the sunburn. Actually, the only thing that seems to help -- at least on his face -- is a face cream of mine that contains high concentrations of vitamins A and E and jojoba oil. He says it's cooling and softening. It's called Retinol-A. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells and smooths rough, irritated skin, so it makes sense that it would work for sunburn. He has promised to wear sunscreen from now on.

My hair feels better. The salt from Chincoteauge destroyed it over the weekend. Once I washed it and used a leave-in olive oil treatment, it became nice and soft again. It seems to have altered in texture somewhat. It's not as coarse and unruly as it used to be. I like it. It seems to be reverting back to pre-puberty days (smooth and straight).

One of the most powerful moments in my college film class. *closes eyes* Still hits me so hard when I think about what some of those people filmed had to live through. How many of them died senseless, brutal deaths because some macho homophobic guy noticed something "out of place." Venus of the House of Xtravanagza, we will remember you.

I also think about this one a lot:

Adam and I went to Safeway for kitty litter. We came back with ice cream (Edy's Blue Ribbon Chocolate Cake and Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Bits), Italian foccacia bread, croissants, granola bars, and organic fruit rolls.

He's doing better, if itchy. He's started to sweat, which means that heat is escaping his inflamed skin. Because he loves me, he has been taking the pills I've been giving him: Ibuprofen, Hyaluronic Acid, and a multivitamin. I'm pleased and proud.

One of the most wonderful things I have ever, ever, ever put on my skin: Pretty Baby Soap's 'Bottoms-Up Baby' Butter Balm at http://www.prettybabysoap.com/store/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=20&cat=Natural%2C+Herbal+Baby+Products#58
I have never had anything absorb so well and smell so wonderful.
I ordered more and requested that the product be sent in jar form, since the stuff is so incredibly thick. It's hard to get out of the tube, and I want to make sure I use it all.
