Well, it looks like that good old Christmas/Yule/Solstice/New Year miracle spirit finally hit:

I just got a really nice check from Mom, a holiday gift, which comes at a much needed time.

Payday came a day early, which is awesome.

I just got my share of our firm's "profitability bonus" which is a really, really nice check.

I now have enough money in the bank to pay a huge part of my credit cards off, plus enough to help at the house with utilities, plus enough to ensure some luxury time for myself and Adam.

Last night with Adam was very much needed, and very enjoyable, and proves just how goddamn much we love, and lust for, each other.

And the very best thing? Apparently, Libby's cancer appears to be non-invasive. Yes, that's right. Non. As in, it hasn't been spreading. As in, the surgeries seem to have gotten it all.
Oh gods.
I feel a hundered pounds lighter. I can breathe so deeply.
Now, she may still need some chemo, just in case. Maybe not. But it's not that bad anymore. It's okay. Oh, jeez. It's gonna get better.

Wow.

Guess what? I will soon have my very own personalized skin care product. Go me!
Well, not really mine; made by someone else at my request, but still, go me, because I have been searching forever and a day for someone who can actually do what I want.
The store Anna Bellina and its sibling store Anna Botanica are owned by a family who inherited a long line of beauty care skills and made a gorgeous bunch of stuff. AnnaBellina.com has everything, and I mean everything. And Patricia, the owner, is one of the sweetest women I have ever ever had the pleasure of knowing. She makes the best facial serums and really knows her stuff. Her brother Michael runs AnnaBotanica.com, from which I have bought many a wonderful thing: Tooth powder, breath spray, body wash, body lotion, house cleansers, room sprays, pet stuff, etc.
So, anyway, on a whim, I decided to email 'Tricia and basically tell her, hey, I've been tearing my hair out trying to find a completely customizable moisturizer that can have everything I want. Here's what I want. Can you help?
And 'Tricia emails me back and says, Yep, for such-and-such price I can add anything you want, even the kitchen sink. And so I replied, Yay! Joy of joys, wonderful, fantastic you are awesome, and does the kitchen sink come with customized faucet attachments?
So after some more witty banter, 'Tricia has now gone off to whip me up my very own personal everything-I-want facial moisturizer. When she is done, she will get payment and a shipping address from me, and very soon I will rejoice.
Here is what I asked for:
"rose, neroli, frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, jasmine, shea butter, sesame seed oil, squalene, rooibos tea, DMAE, copper peptide, hyaluronic acid, sea buckthorn oil, neem oil, alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q-10, argireline, matrixyl all blended together in a 1 oz serum bottle."
See why it was so hard before? Patricia and Michael seem to be the only people on the planet who have all those exact ingredients.
Tricia is going to make me my own personal label and also record everything in her database so I can reorder it whenever I want.
Between that and everything else that's happened today, I'm over the moon. I feel like flying.
