The new Anne Bishop book, Dreams Made Flesh, just arrived. It's a collection of stories about her Black Jewels world. I would have preferred a full-length novel featuring Jaenelle and Daemon and the rest of the central Black Jewels characters, but this is just as good. Makes me want to rush forward and finish the next chapter of my own book. I just got an inspirational rush -- I will have some fun when I sit down to type later.

That is all.

Things are uncertain and irritating and frustrating and a little scary right now, but sooner or later it will all be better. There is still love, much love, and hope. And chocolate. Mmm. Chocolate.

Just so people who care can know. She and her husband went to her doctor so he could look at her wound, which had popped its stitches a few days ago and had been replaced with gauze by said doctor. However, she had been getting worse, so they went back today, and the doctor told them to go to the ER. She is on IV fluids and massive painkillers and antibiotics, because the wound has become infected, most likely from the tape they'd put on it. I don't know what will happen within the next few days. I imagine that she will be okay. I am actually very relieved that she is there, that she will be taken care of by professionals. She never should have come home when she did. No one here had the true capability or experience or expertise to really care for her. It is best left to nurses and doctors with their machines and medicines.
I do not know what will happen when she comes home, if she will be far worse. I don't know, and it scares me. But that's okay. It's okay to be scared. We are all scared. And that's okay. We have each other. There is love and comfort.
And chocolate.
