As it turns out, Adam is the first person in the house to catch a cold for the season. This bothers me slightly, only because my husband has a superhuman immune system: either he gets a few mild symptoms and then the illness is gone in a day or two; or it's something big enough to knock him down and keep him down for several days, which therefore means that if anyone else got it, it would probably send them to a hospital. This must be a particularly nasty cold virus -- he's all congested and sneezy and completely miserable. He stayed home yesterday because he was so dizzy he could barely stand. He started feeling better later in the day. But this morning when I woke up he looked awful. He's home resting again. I put a bottle of water, tissues, and a huge bottle of vitamin C tablets, 1,000 mg each, on the night table. He loves vitamin C. But he prefers to eat, drink, or chew tablets instead of swallow pills, so I will see if I can pick up the chewables.

Speaking of... Eric, can you explain your personal theory about the really high doses of Vitamin C again? I hear as much controversy about it as I do benefits. Of course, with any vitamin, supplement, or treatment, you're going to get a bunch of people saying it's bullshit and it's dangerous, and another bunch of people saying it's perfectly fine and in fact beneficial. Remember when people thought tomatos were poisonous?

If you have ever loved chocolate, you will click here now. You will buy these chocolate bars in whatever local organic market you can find (or the website). You know you want to.

Seriously.
They are extraordinary. One has a hint of powerful rose. The other of sweet blueberry.

Pure luxury.
Oh, gods, it's good.

It cured my cramps and bitchiness and I wasn't even halfway through the first Women's Wonder bar.
