I've decided to try this out...
Five Things I Am Thankful For Today:
1. Silkia Camellia Oil (the only moisturizer that will keep my skin from drying out too much and getting eczema, cracks, flakes, white patches, and irritation)
2. Earth's Beauty Concealer (Light is so perfect for my skin it makes me want to dance)
3. Today is Friday (which means tomorrow is Saturday)
4. My cat is healthy for now, and she is loving me so much it is beautifully obnoxious (she even lets me cuddle her for a long time and she purrs nonstop while butting her head against my hands until I pet her)
5. I put in my Thanksgiving vacation time: the 20th to the 29th. My first real vacation since last Thanksgiving (and my first chance to see my parents and hometown since last year).
What I am not thankful for is the fact that all my joints and muscles are inflamed and painful. I was unaware that elbows can hurt like this. It hurts to flex the fingers of my right hand, and the knuckles are bright red and throbbing. My knees feel like oatmeal mixed with splinters. My ankles are burning. Damn it, even my jaw hurts. Even my hips hurt.
Ow, my all of me.
I will stop complaining now.
I will think about Tuesday purring while she curls up on my lap. Yes, she does that now. It's wonderful. She even kneads the blanket before settling down next to me to sleep. She has finally started loving her mommy as much as she loves her daddy.
