I woke up this morning to intense spasms in both legs. I got to work and found myself drowing in tasks, and at the time of this writing, I am finally sitting down somewhat relaxed for the first time since 8:30. My leg muscles are getting more and more pained. I am not happy, but I can't rest. Too much to do. I took some painkillers and muscle relaxers -- and a little praying.
All I can think of is going home tonight and having a long hot shower and maybe massaging my legs.
Right now, the song "You And Your Hand" by Pink is roaring through my head, because before I left the house I was watching VH1, and it was the last video to play before I turned off the TV. I love that video. The song isn't bad either. At the moment, it's keeping me from collapsing in tears. I'm in so much pain my hands are shaking, and the muscles in my thighs are trembling to the point where it is getting hard to walk.
Oh. Tomorrow is Saturday. Oh thank fuck.
My husband returns from Chicago tomorrow evening too. He hates Chicago. I'll greet him with a long warm hug.

There is a Smoothie King several blocks away from where I used to work, on Pennsylvania Avenue. I could walk there from Metro Center, or even from my current office building at the corner of 8th and G streets.
This does not bode well for me or my wallet.
Besides, I'm not sure if I can carry a smoothie on the train, even if I don't put the straw in it to drink from.
But... it's right there. I can walk to it.
I could have an acai smoothie every day if I wanted.
I'm doomed, aren't I.

The other day, Danny and I drove to the Smoothie King in Gaithersburg and I got a 32-oz acai smoothie with double yogurt added. I had most of it for dinner that night. It does contain over 700 calories after all, not including the yogurt (the 20 oz has 481 calories without yogurt). I then had some of it for yesterday's breakfast. I had the rest for today's breakfast.
And now I want another one.
Welcome to smoothie addiction, party of me.
