Also, shiny
Dec. 7th, 2007 01:14 pmAfter what feels like a very long week, I have come to the end. Adam, who has the day off due to a hectic work schedule next week, is out running errands. These include a trip to Home Depot to duplicate his house key and mailbox key for me, as I lost mine in the snow in a frantic dash for the bus on Wednesday morning. Good thing he came home on Thursday. He fixed the back-asswards issues I'd had trying to plug in cables to make the internet work. When I came home, Charlotte was over and the two of them were watching episodes of "Inuyasha." Adam took Charlotte home, and when he came back we made stir-fry shrimp with broccoli for dinner. We had a shower together and lovemaking. Had pillow-talk about the usual subjects, including my bisexuality (we're extremely open in our communication regarding attraction).
Good news: Penelope has become more open and receptive. Adam blocked off her hiding spots under the bed, so she has no choice. While she was eating on the dresser, Jupiter jumped up there, ever curious, and while she hissed at him, she did not jump down and run off; she stayed and kept eating. The hiss was more of a, "Stop staring at me while I'm eating, dammit!" kind of warning. I think Jupiter is a bit smitten.
Penelope is certainly a loveslut and attention whore. She demands pettings and rubbings to an insane, wonderful degree. She spent the night on the bed, curled up near Adam's feet, while Luna curled up near my feet. It was lovely.
The winter winds and chill have started affecting my hands, cracking the skin and causing eczema flare-ups. I have a jar of Anti-Element Emollient at my desk and have been slathering it on my hands and arms as often as I need. My skin looks shiny while it absorbs the oils.
I've been sipping kombucha tea throughout the day (GT Dave's Synergy, original flavor). It's got a weird, intriguing, vinegary taste. I still hate carbonation, but I love the rush of energy this stuff gives me. My aches and pains have faded somewhat, too. Woot!
