Paganism and Spirituality
Feb. 1st, 2010 03:22 pmAn updated version of something I had written to a friend a long time ago.
My own spirituality is fluid. I am a hard polytheist. I also identify with dualist pantheism, animism, and shamanism. The specific things I believe within those views are fluid.
I practice magic. I practice witchcraft. I practice animism. I practice Druidism. I practice spiritualism. I believe in past lives, other worlds, the fae, dragons, and things that don't even have names anymore.
I honor multiple gods. I do not affix myself to a single pantheon. I've worked with deities from the Celtic pantheon (Danu, Brigit, Aine, Belenus, Cernunnos, and Dagda). I've worked with Egyptian gods (Bast, Isis, Osiris, Horus, Amun, and Thoth). I've worked with Greek gods (Pan, Apollo, Aphrodite, Persephone, Athena, Hermes, and Demeter). Never all at the same time, obviously. Above all, I work with myself.
My practices are private and personal. I do not believe in "bringing" anyone else into my faith. I will show people what I believe, and I'll explain further if they are interested, but in the end I'll tell them to find that path that is right for them alone.
