One Hundred Thousand Words.
I just looked at my word count. As of 2:50 PM today, I went past 100,000 words. I am over one hundred thousand words and still so far from finished. Oh, I can see the end. But it is all the way over there. Way over there. I could wave to it, if I had binoculars.
I feel like this is a milestone, sort of. Have I mentioned that I started writing the stories that would become this book in the spring of 2000? Ten years ago.
Call me lazy, call me unmotivated, call me blocked, call me anything. I still love this book. I've reached past a certain goal, and now I am sprinting, and even though it is going to be a long crazy twisted sprint with minimal breaks, I will get to that end.
Also, I did it while feeling wretchedly fatigued and sore.
