brightrosefoxToday, I sat comfortably with a group of people and was social for hours, and according to Adam I was the center of attention for a while and I didn't even know it.
A comfortable room, a small group, chatting and laughing, calm and flowing, nobody trying to be the biggest genius in the room, everybody relaxed and cheerful, talking about things relevant to our interests, respectful pauses for beautiful dialogue.
Geeks and nerds of every type, shiny knowledge and fantastic stories passed around like treasures.
That's the kind of socializing I love. I amazed myself tonight, and I think I impressed people who figured I'd be the one silent in the corner.
I am now completely drained and pained, but it was fantastic. Not a trace of anxiety. I made some friends. I am full of love.
