I love my computer geek, I do, really
Aug. 7th, 2004 04:15 pmHe didn't come to bed last night. He didn't sleep at all.
Last night he went downstairs to where he had set up a movie screen and projector connected to a TV, stereo and computer, and began geeking. All night. And now, all day. Oy.
I ordered Chinese food for lunch and offered him some, but he didn't want any. He hasn't eaten. Hasn't even had caffeine or anything like that. He was playing with the two fish tanks earlier, right after he took a break from lying on the floor tinkering with the computer.
I'm not complaining at all. I think it's cute that he drops everything around him to geek nonstop for two days straight. But he will need to eat and sleep eventually. He has to work on Sunday.
I'm reading Nora Roberts' "Donovan Legacy", working on the book, watching the Style Network, and playing with Tuesday. But at least I finally have a full stomach. I've been ravenous all week from PMS. When I went to the doctor's on Friday and the nurse weighed me (with my heavy cowboy work boots) the scale actually said 105. When I came home and stepped on the scale in the bathroom, I was 96, with or without my boots. So, either the bathroom scale is off by ten pounds, or I've hit -- and possibly passed -- 100 lbs. Whoa. I don't feel 100. If this is true, this will be the most I have ever weighed, ever.
Of course, I told the nurse that I had been drinking water like crazy for weeks and walking and exercising until my muscles burned -- so it's probably some muscle and water weight. I have a 25 oz sports bottle next to me at work, and I fill it about two and a half times a day. I've also reinforced my green olive and mini dill pickle addiction.

Date: 2004-08-07 03:14 pm (UTC)sounds like you're also having a funnish semi-lazy weekend. today i spent alternately reading a new fantasy collection i picked up, watching zombie movies, and napping with the critter (i also went to the gym, but that was waaay earlier). it's so cute--i gave her the box my books came in and she can just barely squeeze herself into it. so i put it on the bed and she curls up in it and it is adorable. i'll send you the picture.
i would stake my favorite shoes that any change in your weight is due to muscle and muscle alone. i bet you look scrumptious (as always).

Date: 2004-08-07 04:04 pm (UTC)I hope it's all muscle. I've filled out a little on top too, yay! The muscles in my legs and arms are very toned, though, so I think you're right.
