promotion for Jason Greenwalt!
Aug. 19th, 2004 01:43 pmI knew I forgot something when we came home from Jason's concert on Friday.
It was fantastic, by the way. The coffeehouse was packed. Jason said it was his biggest crowd yet. I saw almost every person who frequented Dan's house. I loved almost every song Jason sang. I actually haven't been able to get either "Made of Gold" or "Vegematic" out of my head. I am so tremendously proud of the boy. He's come a very long, very hard way. And to know that he also cares so much for me makes me smile that much more whenever I hear him sing.
All in all, it's cemented my deep appreciation for Jason's work. And so I would like to introduce him to everyone by making you all go here:

The three songs featured there are fucking brilliant, particularly "3:30 AM". That was the very first song I ever heard, when he played a demo for everyone at Dan's house, over a year ago. It still wraps around my heart and tightens my throat. However, "Wander" is quickly becoming my favorite, because I can relate so much to it -- as I am sure we all can.
And yes, he actually does sound a little like John Mayer.
*hugs for Jason*
