Much better. That was fast!
Aug. 24th, 2004 11:42 amHmm. Looks like I'll be appointing Triphala as a personal deity. And maybe Trikatu Plus as demigod. Burdock, Nettle, Cat's Claw and Dandelion can be, ummm, guardian spirits? MSM can fit in there, too, even though it's a mineral, not an herb.
They're all blood purifiers, detoxifiers, and immune enhancers. MSM does so many things that I actually can't list them here.
I actually hadn't realized just how well my body has been working. Even when I'm being overwhelmed by allergies, the symptoms don't last that long. I know this is gonna sound very weird, but... my liver feels scrubbed clean. So do my intestines. My lungs? *takes huge breath* Actually, I can feel air sort of... scooping down to the bottom of my lungs (oh dear gods I just wrote mung) and whooshing out (slight wheeze, though; I did have a mild asthma issue earlier). I've never been able to "touch" the "bottom" of my lungs when I breathe. Such an odd sensation!
I do think one other thing has been helping: Arginine Alpha-ketoglutarate. I just routed the latest issue of "Navy Times" and there was an article and an ad for AKG; apparently it's supplied in military hospitals for soldiers' endurance and muscle stamina. Supplies oxygen, helps tone lean muscle, and helps reduce physical effects of stress. Over the past week, I've noticed that I've been lifting weight that I normally would strain and struggle with, like heavy boxes; it's like I barely notice the muscle burn until I've set the weight down. It's impressive.
I'm not saying it's an amazing wonderful miraculous thing, all these herbs and supplements. I'm being really, really careful to regulate and monitor my use. Just because it's "natural" does not imply that it is safe, or better. However, I feel pretty great. Better than I have in a while. That must account for something.
