It snowed. Finally. Can it leave now?
Jan. 19th, 2005 06:45 pmSo, around eleven this morning, my boss and I went to a lawyer's office to help her do an online legal search. I glanced out her window and saw a torrent of snow pummeling the downtown DC rooftops. When I went out to lunch at noon, the snow was still falling heavily. By the time I left at five, the snow had stopped. We only have a few inches, but it's enough to officially declare Winter. It's also painfully cold. Like winter in January should be. I miss the seventy degree weather we had a couple of weeks ago. I like the warmth, thank you. My circulatory system wants it back! Stupid painful vasoconstricting Raynaud's Syndrome.
Eric, I just took my first dose of your Gokshuradi Guggul, and Dashmool, tonight. Two tablets each. Thank you a million times; my kidneys will thank you too once it kicks in. Although I have to wonder about taking the Triphala at the same time; the Gokshura complex contains all three components, as well as part of Trikatu. Maybe I should leave aside the Triphala until the Gokshuradi is gone?
Julie of The Little Soapmaker sent me two extraordinary body butters yesterday: Exotic and Tropical. All traces of eczema and dry, cracked skin are gone. Really. Even a deep paper cut is healing nicely. I love them! I'm going to get Sweet Orange later.
I've decided to get rid of a lot of cosmetics I'm not currently using too much. Anybody want? I might just give it away, but if someone wants to pay, I won't say no (unless I really love you, then I'll definitely say no). Something tells me I should just start my own business, but I'm lazy and broke right now and I have too much other stuff to do.
First priority now is the book. There are some rather intense scenes I need to get out of my head; need to finish this chapter and then estimate how long it will take me to actually finish the book itself. Luckily, I've built up a decent science fiction writers' network, and two people I particularly love, Charlotte and Beca, are both pushing me and pushing me to finish, so I should be fine. Charlotte has even set aside a folder just for me, and has set aside part of her library room for my extra books and inspirational literature. She set up a file for me on her computer desktop so I can come write at her place if I need to.
Soon, I'll have to post one of the new scenes. Sometimes they make me laugh. Currently they're making me cry. All artistic and creative endeavors should do that. I miss mychildren characters, anyway. Having five people you pulled from your personal fictional world (or wherever fiction characters come from) clamor for attention in your head can be very annoying if you don't let them tell their story.
Yes, I am being random tonight. I am also nicely energized from the arginine supplement (which, in turn, helped beat back a Raynaud's attack).
