A merry day of coma

As of last night, the head count of the mighty fallen was three: Jason, Adam, and me. Jason was starting to recover. Adam and I were in hell. Adam sprayed my throat with Cepacol just so I could utter sounds and doused himself with NyQuil.
We woke up today, Sunday, around two in the afternoon, still dragging and congested and feverish and generally horrendous. We spent the day watching back to back Quentin Tarentino movies. I saw Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction for the first time. Okay, yes, now I get all the references. It was just me and Adam for a while.
The gift in the little box he gave me turned out to be a stunningly beautiful blue topaz set -- a pendant and earrings all set in silver. And some dark chocolate. My first gift of jewelry from my husband since the wedding rings.
Jason came home later. I was badly craving a bacon cheeseburger. Jason and Adam offered to go out and scour Gaithersburg for a place open on Christmas. They finally found a Denny's and I got one of the best bacon cheeseburgers in my recent memory.
Then Danny came home from his parents' house, and we watched more movies. I still feel miserable, but I think it is on its way out. I have off work tomorrow, so I can rest more.
*cough sneeze hack wheeze*
