Diary of a sick elf girl

Day four. It usually starts getting out of my system on day four. I called in sick -- I could barely stand up straight when the alarm went off. I'm still too weak to go to a job that requires constant movement, focus, and coordination. Other people might be able to handle going to work while still sick, but I don't like to.
Adam went to work. Danny went to his grandfather's funeral. Jason is home with me; he has the day off. He took me to the local diner to get food, since what I was craving (guess) wasn't in the house.
That was a damn good bacon cheeseburger.
Why yes; it is that week of the month. I need red meat during this time. It's not something I want to argue with my body about.
The fresh cool air did some good, but I really wanted to just curl back under a blanket. My temperature is still a little high. Jason is such a wonderful roommate for comforting me.
I will be going to work tomorrow, come hell or high water. My body just needed this extra day to heal.
Blergh.
