A note

I have moments of "oh gods, look how round my face is, I'm getting fat, I have to stop this, I'm out of control" but then I remember the hell I went through because of just that.

My body says thank you, to everyone (especially me!)

And...
Charlotte, I know you won't read this (unless I show it to you) but I really believe that it was your one comment that started it: That August afternoon, four years to the day I began the illness, when Adam and I walked in your front door and you and your husband were sitting on the couch, and you looked up at me, smiled, and said, "Hey, you've gained weight. You look good!" And I paused, nodded slowly, smiled, and said, "Yeah. I do!" and Billy glanced up, smiled his crooked smile, and said, "Yeah, you do look good, you ain't so skinny anymore!"
And then I went into your guest bedroom, stripped in front of the floor-length mirror, looked at myself -- ribs still visible but not so much, face slightly filled out, legs and arms not bony, skin tanned -- and decided that yes, I was done. It had begun. The healing.

So thank you.

And the rest of you. Thank you forever.

I ate pancakes and clementines for breakfast.
Now, should I have the chicken fettucini alfredo frozen lunch, the grilled basil chicken over linguini frozen lunch, or the beef tips portabello in mushroom sauce with green beans frozen lunch?

Godspeed and smooth sailing. These sort of demons are hard to deal with. And though I've only seen pictures of you, I feel safe in emphatically assuring you that you are a very beautiful lady.

And by the way, my vote is for the beef tips. That sounds quite yummy.
