Research must be my middle name

One of my coworkers just gave me a free bottle of foundation still in the box -- Prescriptives Flawless Skin Foundation -- luckily in my shade, and I immediately hopped online to research the more important ingredients.
Clipped and pasted in parts from various websites:
Micrococcus Lysate: Milk flora enzyme extract. An extract of powerful enzymes encapsulated in special skin-penetrating molecules. The extract comes form the organism Micrococcus luteus, which is one of the most UV-resistant organisms known to science. Scientific studies have shown that enzymes from this organism are able to support against UV light. Microccoccus lysate is a natural way to assist the skin against sun damage.
Polygonum cuspidatum: Japanese knotweed. Flowering bamboo. Also known as Hu Zhang. Used to form the active compound Resveratrol, a naturally occurring phytoalexine found in medicinal plants, one of the most powerful antioxidants known that can help reduce the occurrence of skin tumors.
Whether or not these ingredients actually do what they say is another matter, but I just like reading about it. Besides, the makeup is awesome. But expensive. So I won't buy it; I'll just use up the bottle and go back to my beautiful MAC MoistureBlend later.
It really is too bad that I don't have the time or money to go to school for aesthetics and dermatology and holistic skin care, and get a degree, and do this for a living ... but that's what hobbies are for.
Besides, I can write plenty of science fiction stories about it. S'what I do best.
