Adam called me at work, while my boss was at lunch. He was given a job to do next Tuesday -- in New York, in Long Island, specifically near where my parents live. So he wanted to know if I could get that day off. Considering that we only see my parents once a year (Thanksgiving) it naturally excited me. When my boss came back, I asked about it, and he agreed wholeheartedly. He knows how much I miss my parents.
So, we will be able to spend the weekend and Monday with Mom and Dad. Then, on Tuesday morning, Adam and I will pack up, head to his job site, set up a bunch of computers for a kids' camp, and then come back to Maryland. And his boss will be paying for all the travel, so we can even afford it!
Adam and I will leave either Friday evening or Saturday morning, drive up, and I will spend a few peaceful days in beautiful Sag Harbor. *joy*
I will say this about my husband: When he does things, he does them to the hilt.
