My office went all out today with the decorations and costumes--they even had a costume contest, and everyone who wore a costume got a lottery ticket. (I didn't win.) I wore the little witch dress that Adam bought me, slapped on some eyeshadow, and wore my quartz crystal pendant. I also brought in my deck of tarot cards featuring the Vertigo comic book universe (Neil Gaiman's Sandman, etc). Although I don't think I'll be reading them for anyone--most of the people here are Christians who might not understand my paganism. Luckily my library co-worker, Ray, does understand.
But that's what's been going on at work today.
Did I mention how comfortable polyester is? I never knew. My mom never let me wear the stuff. She preferred real fabrics to synthetic. Then again, she was a fashion illustrator for 20 years.
