Adam's dream

Since Adam has no internet access in his hotel room, he called and asked me to use Google to try and interpret a dream he had this morning. I thought I'd post it here and see if I could get better answers.
He dreamed he was in India, and met a man with a dark blue cat -- a cobalt blue, sapphire blue cat. Adam was petting it; it was very friendly.
When I did some research all, I found was a site that said, "If the cat in your dream is blue, it means you will be disappointed in love." Adam took that to mean that perhaps he was missing me and disappointed that he couldn't be with me; because there is certainly no disappointment in our love. There was nothing to show the representation of the shade of blue, though.
I figured that maybe India represented Las Vegas -- a faraway magical land, far from home. Any thoughts?

They may not be speaking of a romantic love. It could also be a platonic love. Perhaps someone else that he loves is going to let him down, or dissapointing him as a friend.

A cat denotes the feminine and the color blue often symbolizes contentment and peace. I'm not sure about the India part, but perhaps it symbolizes wonder and excitement. So my interpretation is that Adam is happy and content with you and your love, but still excited and awed by its beauty. How did I do? ;)

I think it makes the most sense. Especially because the cat was so loving and friendly. :)

Each of us has our own personal symbolism. What does India represent to Adam? Cobalt blue? cats?

Cats, for instance, mean different things to different people, so when they are featured in a dream, what they mean depends of what they mean to that person. For me, the fact that I am very allergic to cats may have some meaning. I like cats, and consider them friends, so they may take on the same meaning as human friends in my dreams. To other people, a cat can represent a childhood memory, contentment, or anxiety if they are scared of cats.

And so on.
