Will wonders never cease?

According to researchers, obesity can be linked to large food portions. *gasp* Wow. They had to spend money and do research to figure that out? I never would have figured it out if they hadn't! Those clever scientists.
France may have it's (many) downfalls, but I will admit that the women are beautiful, the fashion is gorgeous, and the food portions are fantastically small. Apparently, candy bars there are sixty percent smaller than over here. I was told once that I ate like a French woman. But in America, that's seen as being anorexic. (Okay, I am anorexic too, what's your point?)
I still just can't understand why you'd need to spend money to figure out that eating more makes people gain weight. What happened to common sense?

I do feel that food is pushed on us everyday. I see more billboards for food than I do for public safety.
What does that say about America?
*sigh*
I hate food.
