weekend...
Nov. 24th, 2002 02:26 pmVery weird. Friday night I went to Nations in DC with Adam, Lex and Beth. I even danced my ass off on both dance floors. The only problem came when I was dancing and the strobe lights went nuts. Apparently I had a seizure and Beth had to pull me off the dance floor while a couple of security people took us into the back and made me sit on a couch and drink water. Then they asked if I could leave because I was considered a liability if I seized again--the club would have had to pay the insurance for the hospital trip. They were really nice about it, but I was still disappointed. So. No more strobe light club dancing for me until the doctors figure out what's wrong. That sucks.
Saturday, we woke up at Ill Omen and Adam filled me in on the secret errand to pick up Lex's present. We got Lex and Beth to drive us in the van to Best Buy, where Adam and I bought a dishwasher. I owed Adam for my half of the plane fare to New York anyway, and the dishwasher was the same price, so I bought the machine while he bought the installation kit. Lex was really, really pleased. So was Beth. We watched the boys put it together, then played video games and watched "Death To Smoochy" while waiting for Erin to come home and discover a dishwasher in Ill Omen's kitchen.
Erin came home around 1:00 am. We listened to her go into the kitchen, but didn't hear any squeals of joy. So finally I got up and went over there after hearing some clinking noises. I found Erin putting stuff in the dishwasher. I asked if she was going to respond to the surprise. Turns out that she came home in a sucky mood. Then she saw the dishwasher, stared at it, then started crying. I told her to thank me and Adam, since we bought it. So she grabbed me, scooped me up, and swung me around happily. We even used it last night. Clean dishes and everything. Very cool.
Right now, the boys and Beth are in the entertainment room playing BMX-XXX on Playstation 2. We will probably watch Eight-Legged Freaks soon. I'm making cookies. I also got "Queen of the Damned" on DVD. I'm pleased with the weekend, except for the incident at Nations. But, oh well.
