Whoa. Movie. Whoa.
Dec. 28th, 2002 12:11 amJust finished watching "Donnie Darko" on cable. Ye-ahahahaowwww! Yiii! Fucked up movie beyond belief but MUST be seen! Everyone who has ever played a Malkavian MUST see this movie. Yow!
"Donnie Darko" is about a high-school kid in 1988, named Donnie Darko. He's a schizophrenic off his meds, and as a result he hallucinates about a giant, demonic rabbit named Frank who looks like the Grim Reaper with bunny ears. Frank tells him that the world will end just before Halloween, so Donnie goes on the schizophrenic, "the demon bunny made me do it" rampage. Oh, and a plane engine crashes into his house too, but that's real. And nothing seems completely grounded in reality. There's stuff in there about time travel. I swear this movie is an acid trip in itself. I remember when the trailers and previews came out years ago, and I didn't pay much attention. I don't think anyone did. But this is an amazing movie. Watson, Lex, Adam, you would love this. Go see "Donnie Darko". Really. Incredible movie. And it has the coolest song I don't remember: "Mad World" by Gary Jules, originally by Tears For Fears.
Tears For Fears
Mad World
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tommorow, no tommorow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me
