Well, well...so the snow has finally fallen. Six inches already since it started last evening. Rain already turning to sleet, going to ice, then another five inches. And Wick Lane is never plowed, so good luck getting out of our neighborhood. I hate you, winter! *sob*
Metro is being cheap and stupid. Then again, so are the people. They crowd the trains, then wonder why said trains break down and get delayed. Stupid not-me syndrome. But in downtown DC right now, it's just rain. Cold, wet, sleeting rain. Argh.

Work: Adam gets to fix the laptop of the Prime Minister of China. I get trees in my library. With gnats. This is not a greenhouse, people! Stop trying to make it look cheerful! The managers irritate me with their mothering and assumptions that we'd all be so much happier with this or that...cakes and cookies. They set up a Weight Watchers program, then have a bake sale. *blinks*
And Ray just found out that our library computers are the slowest in the entire firm. And the firm stretches to NY, NJ, LA, SF, and SV. Okay. We are in the heart of the world's political capital. We provide information systems to the office. And yet our computers are slower than those in the offices of the wet-behind-the-ears-just-out-of-law-school people? Does this make any sense? They say it will be remedied soon. What is this "soon" you speak of?
Humans confuse me.

I now have that little K-Mart "Right Here, Right Now" ditty stuck in my head. K-Mart has now reminded me of Jesus Jones. Which makes me wonder, whatever happened to Jesus Jones? And will anyone who hears the K-Mart version even remember who Jesus Jones is?

"Right here, right now, watching the world wake up from history..."
