Almost a hundred degrees in DC and Maryland. Humidity and tangible air and a blinding vibrant sun. I have started longing for Sedona, Arizona again. It's more of a dry heat there.

I believe now that getting extracts of Goji and Acai berries may be one of the best things I have ever done for my health.

I'm not in pain today.
I'm not. In pain.
Not even fatigued.
Beautiful.

All I took, so far, was goji, acai, triphala and silica. Next will be gotu kola, ALCAR, ALA, and CoQ10. At the end of the afternoon, spirulina. And I will be able to walk home without wanting to fall and curl up.

I had a wonderful lovely weekend. My best friend visited from New York. I need more weekends like that.

I should be finishing up with the circulation, but I sitting here amused staring at my right hand as the wound pulses and throbs just under the forming scar.

Last week, I woke up in the middle of the night because Ralph wanted to go out. I stood there at the door watching. Jupiter came running sleepily over from the living room to find out what was going on. I picked him up and started heading back into the living room, to keep him away from the door. Obviously he was in no mood to be cuddled. He wriggled out of my arms, and along the way one of his back claws sliced into the skin of my right wrist.
When I checked on it a bit later after going to the bathroom, it was a thin white line slashing diagonal from the fleshy part of my palm at the bottom of the thumb down to my wrist where it stopped parallel to the big vein. By the time I washed it and reached for the hydrogen peroxide, the skin had split and blood was running down my arm.
So I grabbed band-aids, stacked three of them over the wound to cover it all, and went to bed. I removed the band-aids the next morning.
It's been a few days. It's healing decently. It's merely very red and angry. I just now applied some gentle antibiotic oil, and now the part that is still split -- the part on my palm -- is throbbing madly like a heartbeat. The skin underneath is that funny indescribable color you get when you have an entire layer of skin torn off (can anyone describe it?). I can watch the progression of the scab as it travels up my wrist. It'll take longer to scab over the other parts because I have to use my hand and I can't keep from bending the wrist; the skin can't close as quickly. So now it just feels warm to the touch.
I will have an awesome scar.
