Luna at the vet

Luna (aka Felicity) is at the Lake Forest vet clinic, waiting for her spay surgery and overall exam. She'd caught a minor head cold in the shelter (very common), and a minor eye infection, so they'll have her on antibiotics alongside the pain meds when I pick her up tomorrow.
The total bill will be $300, which is high, but payable, as my next paycheck comes next Thursday and I can make up for it. (However, if anyone wants to donate something via PayPal, it can be my early birthday present. I have no idea what I'd want anyway. Of course, it is not at all necessary. Most of you don't even know me or this cat.)
These Lake Forest clinic people are so sweet and kind. They've already fallen in love with Luna. And they're so helpful. I wonder if I can make them my other vet clinic.

As they lay in bed, she touched the curve of her belly, then grabbed it, and said, "I need to exercise more. This is too soft." And he looked at her, and he touched the curve of her belly, and said, "Mmmm. I like it." "It's to soft and squishy," she said. "No," he said, "it's perfect. You need it. It's beautiful." And then she felt her buttocks, and tried to squeeze them, and he followed with his hand and made that soft sound again. And he said, "I love your butt. I love your belly. I love you. You're beautiful. You are just fine."
And afterwards, after they made love so deep it left them breathless, she whispered, "I am a goddess." And he put his arms around her and lay his head on the curve of her belly, and said, "Yes. My pretty goddess."
And she smiled.

There is something I am concerned about, though. I've never taken care of a kitten with a cold or an eye problem. I'm not sure how long these things take to go away. The vet will answer all my questions, of course, but I am curious. I want to protect Luna and make sure she is as healthy as she can be. I don't even mind paying so much for it. But I want to make sure she really does get better soon, so I can take lots of photos of a healthy, happier kitten with a dry clean nose and eye.
Tomorrow morning is too far away. I want to call the clinic now and ask how she is but I don't want to bother them.

Luna's surgery went perfectly. As it turns out, she was pregnant, so they had to make a wider incision to remove the stretched uterus. And now I know everything about female cat spay operations. I also didn't know cats could get pregnant so young.
Her cold should resolve in a week with antibiotics. I'll know more when I go over there tomorrow.
