The Day Of Me
Jun. 23rd, 2007 04:44 pmSo.
The alarm clock went off around seven, and between hitting the snooze button, Adam curled up with me until it was inevitable. I went back to sleep. A couple of hours later he came back to get more clothes, kissed me goodbye again, and was off to work and then Chicago.
I woke up again around ten, took a shower, cleaned the cats' litter boxes, played with Luna and Jupiter, checked email and LJ, and left the house and went to the bus stop. Took the metro to the Twinbrook station, from there walked past the Doubletree Hotel to the Chevy Chase Bank. Deposited Adam's cash for July's mortgage and Jason's rent, then treated myself by going to Ulta and buying a face mask from Garden Botanika. At the aquarium store, I bought pellets for the fish and sticks for the turtle. Ate lunch at Armand's, which I discovered makes the best pizza I've tasted outside of New York. Back on the Metro, back on the bus, back home, dropped off the bags, went back out, went across the street to the other bus stop, rode all the way to the Lake Forest Transit Center, went across the street to the Safeway. Bought plastic cling wrap, canned cat food on sale, toilet tissue on sale, and a fresh tuna salad sandwich on ciabatta bread from the deli section.
Back home, watching the season premiere of "The 4400" and about to watch the season premiere of "The Dead Zone" -- and eating my sandwich.
Last night, the series finale of "Stargate SG-1": Fabulous, beautiful, amusing, saddening, wonderful, sweet, heartwarming. I'll miss it. But Carter is coming to "Stargate Atlantis" (where Jewel Staite is the new doctor -- and Morena Baccarin had been in several episodes of "Stargate SG-1" and Summer Glau is on "The 4400". And I just ordered the book Finding Serenity. I'm such a sci-fi geek).
