pasta and tuna salad

My first macaroni tuna salad, Italian style. All by myself, last night.
Mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, basil, salt, red and black pepper blend, chopped black olives, albacore tuna. Blended in with spiral macaroni pasta.
It was very tasty, if I do say so myself. I had a bowl with strongly brewed oolong tea as my beverage, and for dessert I had a few spoonfuls of royal jelly honey and a small bar of dark chocolate.

My new favorite indulgent snack is Kashi TLC Oatmeal Dark Chocolate All Natural Chewy Cookies. Two of them make an excellent quick breakfast at work when I don't have time to sit and eat. Other quick breakfasts at work: Stonyfield Farm Shift Smoothie in Power Punch With Acai; and Bolthouse Farms Perfectly Protein Mocha Cappuccino with Whey Protein.

Also? Adam will be flying home later this afternoon, and I will see him around eight-thirty. His birthday is next Sunday, and we have been assured he will be home (he needs to renew his driver's license after all).

Donatello and Me

I have been getting very well acquainted with the new turtle since Adam has been gone. He recognizes me now. When I approach the tank, he will either stretch his head out and look at me if he's sitting on the piece of wood, or actively swim to the edge of the tank and look at me. Several times a day, I've been picking him up, handling him so he knows human touch. He'll take food pellets from my hand. Of course I always wash my hands after touching the turtle or the water. I'd rather not possibly get salmonella.
Now that Adam is back, he can get acquainted. Donatello was slightly shy when Adam reached in to pick him up, but Adam was in fact the first human to touch him, so it was rather cute when Adam stroked Donatello's head and shell and Donatello seemed to enjoy it.
