wrap me in silk
Oct. 13th, 2007 03:01 pmI woke up when the alarm for Adam went off at six this morning. He had to go back to the Grand Hyatt in DC to finish up the conference. I'm waiting for him to come home.
I had planned to sleep until ten or eleven, but wound up sleeping until twelve-thirty. I couldn't move. The fibro flare was too intense; my limbs felt like lead. I took my last Flexeril tablet, took a hot shower, and then spent half an hour massaging my legs, arms, and any body part I could teach with Vicki's Gaia Protection Lotion. It's probably the best lotion I've used for easing aches and pains, plus making skin feel soft and silky and beautiful. So far, it's cleared up those dark undereye circles I keep getting when my seizures break the tiny capillaries. And it's got MSM and Arnica and Tamanu and Sea Buckthorn and Rooibos, which makes my poor arthritic knees feel almost normal. Vicki is also sending me another bottle of Clarity Toner, which is really refreshing and cooling all over. So I am now in much less pain, I feel rather pampered, my skin is incredibly soft and smells heavenly, and I am imagining myself wrapped up in blankets of purple silk, floating on clouds. It is good imagery.
I need to go to Petco and get another bag of Castor & Pollux dry food for the cats, plus some canned food. I ordered a Flowmatic shower filter from Amazon for Charlotte. The good news? Whatever was in her water isn't anymore, so her skin is clearing up. *cheers*
