Glow

The day after my facial sees my skin unbelievably smooth and purged. Nancy said that I would "always look fifteen years younger" because of how healthy my skin is. While she worked on me we talked about various oils and extracts, and compared notes. Nancy used both modern technology and basic massage techniques, and I left her office grinning. My skin glows even now. I do feel quite detoxified and rejuvenated. Nancy is extremely unique in the way she does facials and massages, very spiritual and connected. And while I am thrilled to be able to go to her once a year, I wish it could be more often.

Today is the last full day here. Tonight, I will go downstairs to the apartment being rented by Marcia, the yoga instructor and massage therapist, and she'll give me a much needed massage. Tomorrow morning, early, Adam and I will pack everything into the car and drive to Philadelphia, to see his grandmother, before heading home to Maryland. We'll then have all of Monday to rest and recuperate.

Adam and I did see "Beowulf" at the movies. It reminded me of why I have not gone to a movie theater in ages. It was a beautiful film, but I couldn't look at the monster Grendel. Ugliest creature I have ever seen, hands down. They did quite well and made him truly, absolutely hideous. I spent most of the film looking away, at a corner of the screen. However, naked CGI Angelia Jolie was wonderful.
