Girls' Sunday Out

Charlotte and I had planned for her to come over today so we could run errands and go shopping. Perfect timing; she arrived as soon as I went to get the mail. After I came back from the mailbox, we went upstairs to coax Penelope out of Jason's room and into mine. We played with her, making her comfortable, and then noticed that Luna and Jupiter had jumped onto the bed and Penelope wasn't hissing or growling. We decided to put the three of them in the side room, with the food and water and litter box and toys. We left the house, drove to Target, and went shopping. I got two more buckets of Fresh Step litter and some snack bars (pomegranate fruit bars, milk chocolate peanut butter bars, monster bars with peanut butter, peanuts, rice crisps, almonds, and chocolate candy). Charlotte bought some holiday gifts. When we returned home, we looked into the side room and found the three cats sitting around peaceably. Charlotte went home after lunch, and I opened the door to the cats' room. Penelope hurried out immediately and went into my bedroom, where I got her onto the bed rather than under it. Cuddled with her for a few minutes until she fell asleep, and I came back downstairs. I'll clean up the living room after posting this, read Winter's Tale for a while, play with Luna for a while.
It's a lazy damp Sunday.
