Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
Jan. 6th, 2008 01:49 pmClosing in.
On Friday, I slipped and fell and skidded on concrete on my way to Metro. The last two fingers of my left hand got scraped and skinned and bloodied, and my right knee was badly bruised. So I have Band-Aids on my fingers and it's actually harder than I thought to do simple tasks like that, when the wounds sting and throb.
We hung out with Charlotte and Billy and we rearranged the living room yet again. This time it was Charlotte's idea, and I love it. I think I can convince Adam to keep it that way for at least six months. The room is open in the middle, with the couches and recliners set up in a sort of semi-circle. Makes it easier to vacuum, too.
Today is the last day before Adam leaves for California. We're at Billy and Charlotte's house, as Adam helps Billy lay down concrete in the downstairs bathroom for the new bathtub. Charlotte is watching the home improvement channel. Earlier, we were listening to "Beethoven's Last Night" by Trans Siberian Orchestra. I'll be buying a copy for myself soon. It's absolutely beautiful.
And now, a nifty quiz about The Five Love Languages.
