I spoke to my husband around seven, shortly after I came home. He and one of his three coworkers were driving through Ohio. There are four of them including Adam, two trucks. They didn't leave until one in the afternoon, which irritated Adam, who'd wanted to leave very early. But they are on the road and will be in Santa Rosa by Thursday night.
He left me a message on the bedroom mirror, written in soap: "I Will Always Come For You." On the bathroom mirror, he drew a heart in each corner. This is in reference to my sobbing anxiety of last night, which I cannot help; no matter where he goes and how long he is gone for, my fear rises. This morning, I woke up first and reset the alarm for him, and after I got dressed I spent ten minutes curled up with him, holding my sleeping love tight, safe journey. Our last words before I left, of course, were "I love you, Adam" and "I love you, Joanna."
I made myself a small meal of canned tuna, avocado, shredded mozzarella, and black olives. I considered watching the last few downloaded episodes of "Star Trek: Enterprise" that we didn't get to during our marathon, then decided to watch them tomorrow and Wednesday, and do chores tonight. I need to finish the laundry, wash the dishes, clean the litter boxes, vacuum the living room, feed the fish. Write a little more in the novel. Snuggle with Penelope. Make the bed. Wash and mask my face. This does take up a decent amount of time.
I think I update LJ too often. I'll slow down with that.
