Secondary generalized tonic-clonic seizure this morning, approximately 6:45 this morning, thereabouts. I only remember the complex partial seizure that preceded it, and only then because I know my epilepsy well and because the migraine symptoms surged back with a bloody vengeance. I left messages at work for my boss and the office manager. When I left work early yesterday, they told me that if the pain was still bad today, I could stay home as long as I called in. I did not tell them about the seizure, only the migraine.
I called Adam immediately after realizing what had happened and after I decided that my bitten tongue would be fine. He had left for work at six, since he was headed for upstate New York. He told me he loved me and asked if I was sure I was all right. We agreed that this was not unexpected. He said that Charlotte was home if I needed a friend for anything (her part-time job with her mother's company gives her erratic hours, so I never know when she is home).
This made me realize that I really should make more friends in my area.
It feels like rain that will not fall. That probably contributed to the migraine and the seizure. Yesterday was a dry heat, and that had not been helpful either.
Thank gods for my cats. They always know.

I will make the best of the day. I will make myself breakfast despite having no appetite. I will get some caffeine and antioxidants in me. I will open up my novel in Word and write as much as my brain will let me. Adam said to keep the television off. He meant that I shouldn't distract myself with it. I may just turn it to one of those music channels in the 400 section that Comcast offers. Dance/Electronica on Channel 404 or or Soundscapes on Channel 433. Not distracting but encouraging. My current ringtone on my cell phone is Robert Miles' "Fable." I think that is labeled as Dance/Electronica, but it could very well have a home in Soundscapes/New Age or World.

Oh my gods, it is finally raining.
Actually, storming. Thunder and lightning and everything.
The nervous part of me is hoping that there will be no power outages. The rest of me is grateful because the pain is finally draining away.
Back to work tomorrow. Good.
