Very amusing and insightful.

I think Adam does extremely well in translating Joanna-speak to Adam-speak. He is very resourceful and intuitive when dealing with me. Of course, sometimes he translates so well that I get annoyed. He knows me a little too well. But I know him a little to well. So there you go.
It also helps that we both have very abstract minds.

Interesting article. Pete and I actually don't have that issue. I tend to be very up front and clear about what I'm saying though. I rarely drop hints or talk around the issue. Pete's rather effeminate himself so he doesn't think like most men. We often joke around saying I'm the male in the relationship. =P

Interesting read though. I get annoyed with how well Pete knows me too. It's great, but it's near impossible to hide anything I don't feel ready to talk about. =P

I'm trying to be more up front and clear, myself. It just does not pay to drop hints or tap dance. If I want something, I'll try and say, "Honey, I want this. Can you do it/get it?" instead of, "Sigh... it would be nice if XYZ." And if he can't, he can't, and it's fine.
He wants me to be more upfront and clear sexually, and I can't help but drop hints and tap dance. I want to say "Why don't you come to bed with me after you watch your show?" and he wants to hear "Finish watching your show and then come and fuck me." But I still have weird hang-ups so I tap dance because I'm still shy!

He'll also badger me until I open up, no matter what I want to hide. He's too good at that.

yeah, I'm still shy too. I'm pretty good about being upfront about other things, but I'm fairly shy about sex most of the time. I'm not shy when it comes to doing things to him, but just the reverse.
