This is south?

brightrosefoxAdam and I have been talking through AIM and microphones most of the day. I just came in from taking the two trash cans to the curb (trash nights are Sunday and Wednesday), and it was in the upper teens as far as temperature. After making some explicit curses on cold weather, I rhetorically demanded how Maryland could get so fucking cold if it's below the Mason-Dixon line. Adam casually reminded me that places north of here were much colder right now. I do remember winters in New York. Single digit temperatures are the bane of my existence. I agree with Adam: we are living on the wrong coast. In the foreseeable future, perhaps in a good few years, I see myself living in Northern California. Or, if I can really convince my husband, Northern Arizona. I do not do cold, never have, never will.
I will warm myself by thinking of the happy things that Charlotte and Billy and I will do for her birthday tomorrow (happy almost birthday, Charlotte m'love -- do you want one of my purses? You know how many I've got).
I am considering selling, or at least giving away, some of my handbags, since the ones I have the most of are all the same bag, just different colors. If you want one, let me know. Years ago, I went through a frantic OCD purse phase, because part of me thought I'd never see the style again. Hah, the present me says to the past me, hah, I say, the style is indeed still around -- and in fact, even better for a woman like me who must have everything in her purse.
In unrelated news, I have such a morbid curiosity about seeing the indie movie "Teeth," and have brought it up to my husband. His initial reaction upon hearing my description of the film: "OW! I don't wanna see that! Oh, wait, yes I do."
Also, I kind of want to see the Cloverfield monster. I don't want to see the movie. Just the monster.
