What exists?

brightrosefoxStrange dream last night, but I got an intriguing quote from it...
I was talking with someone, a woman, whose face was in shadow; we were sitting in the middle of a desert surrounded by what looked like trees. The sun was incredibly bright. Colors streaked across the sand in strange patterns.
I don't remember much, except for one thing she said: "Everything exists. Whether or not certain things exist for certain people depends on the individual's perception. What exists for you might not exist for someone who does not believe. Use your magic the way you want. If someone chooses to claim that magic does not exist, they can be absolutely correct. Magic does not exist for them. But it does exist for you. You don't always have to explain why."
And then she reached out and touched my face -- her hand felt like wind -- and said, "Don't stress over it. Accept what you feel. And don't take criticism so harshly."
I should do that more often.
