Welcome back, Doctor

Ow. That was sad, but fantastic. One of my favorite things is watching actors emote using only facial expressions and occasional exclamations, silent or otherwise, such as "NOOO!"
David Tennant does this extremely well. To the point where I often want to swoon. Or cheer. Or give him a comforting hug. Sometimes all three.
When that pivotal sacrificial scene near the end happened, I slapped my hand to my heart, mouth open, and I gasped, "Oh, come on! That's not fair, is it! The man's had enough heartache! What the fuck!" and later, afterwards, "Awww! That was awesome! But sad. Awesome and sad. Yay. But wah. Yay and wah."
That's Doctor Who for you.
And then, Battlestar Galactica. Which is always Yay and Wah. Particularly the last few minutes of "The Ties That Bind." Frak, that was depressing. Seriously. Holy shit. You'd think they'd want to keep the human body count down, but oh well, there's one more. And the way it was done, the events leading up to it, made me think. Very sad.
