I got another email from Brian: Penny is doing so much better. She woke him up for petting and followed him around the house. She's actively seeking attention and comfort, she's eating her food now, she's playing with the squeaky furry mouse I'd given her, she's watching the birds at the bird feeder, she's entertaining herself. I can only imagine the spark in her eye, the happy wag of her tail -- she is the only cat I know who will wag her whole tail like a dog when she is happy and content; for most cats, rapid tail wagging means irritation or anger. I feel proud and relieved and grateful.

We got Luna and Jupiter a three story kitty condo, with enough fuzziness to be a scratching post. The cubby holes are small even for Luna, though, so they both look cramped when they curl up inside. It's adorable.

This is very funny:

I feel much better after taking the Soma, and watching another episode of Rome. Adam has already seen the whole series, and he's happy to watch it with me, since I'm seeing it for the first time. Cleopatra's character is so damn fascinating in this show. And hot. Somehow, her opium addiction makes her even hotter.

The dark circles under my eyes have almost completely disappeared, thanks to Vicki's Gaia Oil and Psyche Lotion (which is also my lotion). My beauty regimen is working really well. Some days I think I look like a teenager, which kind of confirms Nancy's initial assessment when she gave me my facial in November: "Your skin is the smoothest I've ever treated. As far as dermatology goes, you technically have the skin of a 15-year-old."

Those kids go to school with my sisters. My sisters were invited to that "party", but were smart enough not to go. That was big news in my small state!

Good on your sisters! I wonder if any of those kids actually learned a lesson -- and which ones will now hate Robert Frost poems. ;)

Glad you are feeling better. That story about the Robert Frost thing was quite funny. :)

I really want to see pics of the kitty condo! John and I have been thinking about trying to get the materials together to build one for my cat. We would put it out on the balcony for her since all her stuff is out there, and she likes to bask in the sunlight. Plus we're kind of hoping it'll keep her claws off the screen as she can scratch on it, and it'll get her up high so she can watch the birdies. :) It is kind of funny though when she jumps up onto the screen, she looks like one of those Garfield cats with the suction cups on the paws, but we have to make her get down, the screen does serve a purpose after all. Next time she does it I'll have to try to get a pic before we shoo her off. :)

I'll have to try your dark circle regimen. I've had pretty dark ones for as long as I can remember, so I guess at least as long as I've cared about my appearance.

Well, it looks just like this:
http://www.catsplay.com/tom_cat_condo.php3 (the 3-hole condo) except that the color is a tannish beige, like a camel color. :)

Yeah, that dark circle remedy is very effective. I hadn't realized how much so until after I'd had seizures for four days and then applied the oil. Vicki and I figure it's because of the helichrysum and rose and tamanu oils.
