brightrosefoxMy boss is taking vacation, so I ran the library alone today, and will do so again tomorrow and Tuesday. Most of my day was spent rearranging the reference books. I had rearranged the periodicals and there were many empty shelves left. I filled them with the reference books that had been hastily put on nearby shelves last year, before I was hired. Four and a half hours of this, including a long break, threw me into a massive fibromyalgia flare. I called the house around four to ask Adam if he knew where the vibrating heating body pad was so I could use it when I got home. Adam, who has the next several days off, warned me that he and Charlotte were rearranging the house. They know that I am feline when it comes to house and room rearrangements. I panic slightly and have trouble reorienting. I knew this was coming, what with Adam having a five-day weekend. He likes to redecorate.
I staggered home with electric shocks and roaring flames inside me, and discovered that I loved the changes.
Charlotte and Adam had worked for hours and hours. The bed was moved. Furniture was moved. The stuff inside the dressers was moved. Floors were attacked with vacuums and brooms. I was stunned, and guilty. I have a bad habit of not cleaning as often as I should. I hugged Charlotte tightly, gratefully, and she told me not to feel guilty. Gods, I love her, she puts up with me so well.
I love my husband.
Tomorrow is our fourth wedding anniversary. Traditional gift is flowers, modern gift is appliances. Date suggestion is seeing a movie. We plan on seeing JJ Abrams' Star Trek.
I am reading Jonathan Carroll's White Apples and it is mind-blowing. I look forward to devouring the sequel, Glass Soup.
I still hurt.
My left hand has not cooperated at all, tucked into a loose fist pressed against my rib cage. Typical symptom of spastic hemiplegia cerebral palsy. I need to massage my arm, and my leg.
