Did you know that platypi are very toxic, and if they sting you, your skin turns purple and swollen and gets so hideously painful that the only way to stop the pain is to block or deaden the nerve? *grin*

I saw it on the Discovery Channel. They had to use a "wrist block" on the poor guy. His hand looked unreal. The fingers looked like psychotic mushrooms.
